Ekobot signs letters of intent with three customers in the Netherlands

Ekobot announces today that the company has written letters of intent with customers in the Netherlands. The agreements refer to declarations of intent regarding pilot installations at customers in the Netherlands during the growing season 2022. The agreements also refer to commercial installations of robotic systems in 2023 with three of the Netherlands’ largest vegetable growers. Pricing for the installations is still under negotiation.

Ekobot’s CEO Erik Jonuks comments on the news.
– Today is a really big day for me personally and of course for Ekobot. A big compliment to my fantastic team who worked hard for this. We see a very large demand for our services from our customers in the Netherlands. This is one of the most important markets in the world for Ekobot. There is a clear link between the demand for our services and the increasing regulatory requirements for reduced use of chemical preparations in agriculture. Our products and services have the potential to greatly reduce the need for pesticides against, for example, weeds. With the support of today’s contract, we now have a close dialogue with a number of Dutch farmers about starting pilot installations in 2022 and delivering robotic systems in commercial farms in 2023.

Tomas Täuber, technical manager at Ekobot, comments on the news.
– Having met a large number of Dutch farmers, it is very gratifying to have it confirmed that there is a great demand for our services. Our robot fulfills a very important function to reduce the use of chemical preparations in agriculture. We will therefore start a pilot installation as planned in 2022 with a number of selected farmers.
